The lowest possible ratio of load inertia to motor inertia is a prerequisite for positioning large loads from A to B with high dynamics and precision. The CM3C.. therefore has an increased inertia. This makes these servomotors suitable for all automation, handling and travel applications with correspondingly high load moment of inertia. In combination with the optional BZ.. With increased working capacity, the CM3C.. The ideal solution, especially for hoist applications.

CM3C.. servomotors in use

Thanks to their high power density, CM3C.. particularly small and dimensioned to save space. Based on the modular gearmotor system from SEW-EURODRIVE, it is also possible to mount the motor directly to the gear unit (direct motor mounting). This completely eliminates the need for adapters and coupling parts. The multi-stage surface protection concept and smooth surfaces (hygienic design) make the medium inertia servomotors particularly robust and dirt-repellent. In addition, the rotors equipped with permanent magnets ensure very high efficiency and therefore extremely energy-efficient operation.

Motor type CM3C.. (Medium inertia) has increased inertia. It is therefore ideal for applications with high external loads. Combined with the optional BZ.. With increased working capacity, this motor type is the safe, fast and reliable drive solution for hoist applications, for example.

Modular servomotor system

Both "Medium Inertia" and "High Dynamic" motor variants come from the same modular servomotor system and share many similarities. For example, both can be equipped with MOVILINK® DDI, the digital drive interface. This allows the motor to be connected to a frequency inverter and the corresponding data network of the application.

Or for startup, prefabricated MOVIKIT® software modules are used – a prerequisite: An inverter or controller. The drive or motion control function required for the application is parameterized in MOVIKIT® and the motor/drive is started up quickly and easily. Saves real time.

Functional safety is also taken into account in the modular system. Equipped with the appropriate safety brake and safety encoder, a wide range of safety functions is covered.
